It's here!

Diehard golfers have braved the cold and now we’re ready to reap the benefits of spring weather ahead! Along with a resurgence of sunshine and warmth comes Masters week, which most of us associate as the “unofficial” start to the golf season for most of the United States. This year’s coverage of the history making Augusta National Women’s Amateur was great to watch and a treat to have extended coverage from Augusta.  I think it makes this week even more anticipated and exciting for all.

Visually, The Masters is a feast of beautiful colors - the varied palette of pink azaleas and rich green vistas.  It’s also a reminder that tradition doesn’t need to feel mundane or staid but can be colorful. Spectator’s are wearing a range of poppy and classic items…floral sundresses, the iconic Masters shirts, caps acquired from years past in fun, bright hues…pinks, greens and yellows along with classic blues and khakis. Even kids and pups are cruising in Masters style!

This time of year I pull out my hot pink Titleist carry bag and my coveted Ping Mascot bag (an AJGA team “West” Wyndham Cup bright royal blue camo bag…coolest bag ever!) and dress them up in happy bright shades. This season I’ll be staring out with Rocket Tour Shortys in brights for fairway and hybrid paired with a classic Masters Green / Yellow pom pom and racer blade putter cover.
