Hello from the Rocket Tour Studio! I’ve had a ball designing some fun covers for AJGA events this year…. This first pic on the left are the AJGA Custom Rocket Tours – very classic , and a very Rocket Tour-y design and one of my personal faves - the RT Tri-Stripe. I just love these …I actually sport one of these in the hybrid size on my bag! I never tire of classic Black, Red & White…
Next… the AJGA’s ’s ClubCorp Mission Hills Desert Junior tournament at Mission Hills Country Club. The AJGA wanted a Bright & Poppy Rocket Tour design for this event. We hear this is one of the favorite events of the season so we did some fantastic Royal & Lime Tri-Stripes. Glad to hear the players liked the covers! About the event: Players from 13 to 18 years old from California and the West Coast joined by players from Taiwan and the Philippines for the favorite event - The field included 27 girls and 45 boys and took place June 16 – 19. , Jamie Cheatham of Rancho Santa Fe, CA won the Boys Division champion. Haley Moore of Escondido, CA named the Girls Division champion. read more… https://www.ajga.org
Early in the year we were delighted to do the custom designs for the Annika Invitational in January at Reunion Resort. We created these in the Annika’s Foundation colors… blue! Bethany Wu of Diamond Bar, Calif., led the last six rounds of the ANNIKA Invitational to become the first champion in history to win twice. The defending champion posted a final-round 1-under-par 71 to finish the tournament at 9-under-par 207 at Reunion Resort.
We will have pics of the ANNIKA Invitational Europe Rocket Tour Studio designs here in a few weeks…. The event takes place in Sweden Aug. 4-7th. to read more about this event go to the Annika Foundation site… http://annikafoundation.org/annika-invitational-europe/
Lastly a photo from inside the RT Studio… a happy place full of color, smiles and all things things fun:). If Willy Wonka had a headcover factory this would be it!
Congratulations Matt! Matt Kuchar claimed one of golf’s coveted titles with a 2-under-par 70 that left him two strokes ahead of his nearest pursuers at The Player’s Championship today. Kuchar sports the Rocket Tour “Tour” Edition covers with Bridgestone Logo on his RBC Tour Bag. Matt and other Bridgestone sponsored players ( Brandt Snedeker, Davis Love III ) have been using RT since 2010.
A WINNING LOOK! Johnson Wagner wins at the Sony Open pimping Rocket Tours & a new mustache!
Congratulations to Johnson Wagner on his win! He rallied for a two- stroke victory at golf’s Sony Open in Hawaii, the first full-field event of the U.S. PGA Tour season. He styles RTs on his bag with his new look!
Congratulations Team USA! For the third time, on November 5th, Team USA won the Spirit International, beating the next best team by a full 10 shots! The team, made up of Nathan Smith, Kelly Kraft, Austin Ernst, and Emily Tubert, played the challenging final five holes at an impressive five under par to take home the title.
Of course, this post wouldn’t be complete without a look at one of their golf bags! It doesn’t get much more patriotic than this – their bags were outfitted with our Rugby Stripe covers in patriotic red, white, & blue and classic USA Tassels. Want the look? Check out our selection of red, white & blue covers here.
Today, we are lucky enough to have a guest blog from the always fun, always fashionable Tiffany Joh, reporting from Asia. We love watching Tiff play – and we love her YouTube channel – totally worth checking out!
Tiff Joh here, writing to ya’ll from beautiful Japan.
I’m here competing in the LPGA’s Mizuno Classic, and it’s the last leg of our Asia swing. This place is amazing. The people are ridiculously polite and the food is super yummy!
But before I tell you about how awesome Japan is, let’s re-cap my Asia experience.
